Shri. Roshy Augustine, Minister for Water Resources represents Idukki constituency of Idukki district in the 15th Kerala Legislative Assembly.
He entered politics while a student at Edakkoli Govt. High School. He was the leader of School Parliament and held various positions in Kerala Students Congress (M) such as College Unit President of Pala St. Thomas College and Kerala Students Congress (M) Constituency President, State General Secretary and President.
He had won many accolades in elocution and debate competitions and selected to M.G. University Volley ball team and won medals in arm wrestling and high jump. He led 'Vimochana Padayathra' from Kasargode to Thiruvananthapuram in 1995 and 'Vimochana Yathra' in 2001 to make aware of the people against corruption, alcoholism and moral degeneration. He has been representing the Idukki Legislative Assembly Constituency since 2001.
He is married to Rani Thomas and has two daughters Ann Maria Roshy, Angel Maria Roshy and a son Augustine Roshy.
